• Proof of Funds / Financial StatementEvery study destination requires evidence you can pay tuition and live for at least a year. The amount is set by the destination and changes -- check the current figure before you prepare this.
• Health / Medical InsuranceCheckFew destinations let an international student enrol without health cover.
• Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)You must hold a valid CoE in a registered course when the visa is decided.
• Genuine Student (GS) StatementSince 23 March 2024 the Genuine Student requirement has replaced the Genuine Temporary Entrant statement. You answer set questions inside the application form, up to 150 words each, in English.
• Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)Home Affairs is explicit: if you do not provide your OSHC details in the application form, the visa will be refused.
• Health Examination (medical, chest x-ray, kidney function)Australia screens for active tuberculosis before granting a long stay.
