DET is primarily an admissions test. Acceptance for visa purposes is not universal and differs from IELTS for UKVI or PTE Academic UKVI, which are approved Secure English Language Tests. Check the current rules for your destination country before relying on DET for a visa.
Duolingo limits how many certified results you can receive within a set period, and each attempt requires a test credit. A purchased bundle provides two credits, and each credit yields one certified result.
If the proctoring review finds a rule violation, such as another person in the room or looking off-screen repeatedly, the test can be rejected without a refund. Read the rules carefully and take the free practice test first.
